Summary  
GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced remote Project Manager III. The candidate will support GAMA-1's growing Cloud Services practice. These strategic cloud initiatives intend to increase the bureau's IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs.  The Project Manager III candidate must be a forward-thinking a passion for providing facilitation and guidance for all agile release trains (ARTs) transformation solutions for our customers. The Project Manager III will act as a STE (Solution Train Engineer) which is a key role in the solution train of the Scaled Agile Framework. You are expected to act as a lean-agile leader, and team coach to deliver added value to the stakeholders.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct a team of Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Scrum Masters (SMs) to oversee SAFe and agile best practices in multiple agile release trains (ARTs).

  • Serve as the liaison with key federal and corporate stakeholders driving mission initiatives that align to business value  
  • Manage and ensure the delivery of meeting documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), status reports, and agile ceremony documentation
  • Direct the assembly and documentation of agile-related artifacts (i.e., from user studies, backlog management activities, etc.)
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables
  • Establishes and implements communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders
  • Direct the development of business best practices and processes   
  • Train and lead team members on the proper use of project management tools
  • Support the gathering of requirements for delivering planning and implementation services that span the systems life cycle, including development, testing, and through production  
  • Work directly with multiple teams and business units to understand business needs and translate those to IT/business capabilities 
  • Identify project needs such as resources, staff, or finances by reviewing project objectives and schedules
  • Participate as part of UAT and development process when applicable

Basic Qualifications 
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience 
  • 8+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience as a RTE or leading a large solution train initiative 
  • 2 years of experience leading a project team
  • 3+ years of Executive-level presence with Federal and company C-Level Stakeholders  
  • 3+ years of experience with Project Mgmt. Tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience with Agile work methodology and associated tools to track progress and manage timelines
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and governance principles
  • AFe Agilist Certification or Scaled Agile Certification 
  • Proficient in Project Management tools including MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, Office 365, and Slack, with 3+ years of hands-on experience
  • Skilled in creating and delivering detailed technical and management presentations to clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Understanding cloud computing technologies, IT business drivers, and emerging computing trends and technologies. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), DevOps Certification, SAFe® Agilist Certification, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification, Microsoft Azure Certification.
  • Proficient in Jira (including Jira Roadmaps and other modules), Confluence, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Office 365, and Slack.
  • Experience serving as a Lean-Agile leader and coach within the Release Train Engineer (RTE) community, fostering growth and continuous improvement
  • Experience facilitating large-scale solution events and Inspect & Adapt sessions; coach Agile teams and collaborate closely with Solution Architects and management to ensure value delivery.
  • Experience leading and directing PI (Program Increment) Planning activities and coordinate the Solution Train to align Agile Release Trains (ARTs), stakeholders, and leadership teams.
  • Oversee large solutions by managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to align with delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate solution backlogs and ensure ARTs are prepared for upcoming PIs; coordinate regular solution train syncs to ensure alignment with Solution Architects, Product Management, and stakeholders.
  • Manage external dependencies, resource allocation, and cross-team synchronization to ensure successful solution delivery and execution.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across Solution Trains, internal teams, and external stakeholders to strengthen the adaptive network.
  • Help RTEs, Scrum Masters (SMs), and ARTs understand their broader impact on strategic decisions and delivery outcomes.
  • Clearly communicate solution vision, roadmaps, and performance metrics aligned with business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience supporting complex scientific and technical projects for Federal customers.
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting technical and management materials to customers and end-users.
  • Strong interpersonal maturity and communication skills; logical, organized, and execution-oriented.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cloud-based technologies including AWS and Microsoft Azure.

  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations and client facilities.

The base salary range for this position is: $154,702 - $211,772

This base salary range represents a general guideline.  An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
